1.      Get it tailor made – A CV must be tailor made and it must be written as per what the company requires and what they see in a potential candidate. A good tailor made CV will only give a good advantage for your CV over the others that have made it to the company’s short list.

2.      Keep it up to date - An up to date CV gives a positive outlook to the employers. As recent as it can be a CV is an ideal way to impress the potential employer and nothing more than an updated CV is better.

3.      Keep the CV unique – The CV must be unique in its own ways. There are hundreds of CV‘s tat flood a HR’s desk every day and yours must stand out. Use words and sentences that could make your CV stand out from the rest

4.      Education and Training – Education and training must be added to the CV as per what’s done and achieved. Overrating and underrating are common mistakes that people do with their CV’s. It’s therefore advised to keep this portion of the CV the most genuine of all.

5.      Employment and Experience - Faking experiences with employers will take you nowhere. At many times candidates would often fake this experience and with companies nowadays giving background referral checks more importance it may not be long before the truth could be revealed. It is advised to maintain integrity and diligence while mentioning about your employment and experience in the CV
