Why should you highlight you achievements in the CV?

A well-crafted CV is the one which best acknowledges your career highlights and achievements. Recruiters are interested in how you have been adding value to your previous job profile. It is necessary to interpret the requirements of the market and design your CV.

Achievements can include rewards and recognition received at work, academic accomplishments, key projects handled, innovations, process improvements etc.

Every profile demands a certain kind of achievement to be showcased. For eg. For a sales profile, it is very important to quantify your achievements in the form of the total sales executed for a certain period.

When it comes to a marketing profile, it can include the key accounts handled and result of marketing activities (promotional activities) on the total revenue generated. Whether it is cost savings achieved or highest sales done during the period, every important aspect related to your current job should be included in the Milestones section. You should also make sure that this vital section is placed on the first place itself to grab the attention of the hiring manager.
